Back in Action
Hey y'all! We know it has been forever, but anybody that knows me and J.J., we usually need vacations after our vacations lol. But don't worry! We are getting back into the swing of things, so thank you all for bearing with our absence and sticking with us! I will kickstart our return with a little anecdote about the cruise. So, Carnival Cruises (not sure if all, but the at least the last few I've been on) will have a little early afternoon tea party on "At Sea" days. There were two on this past one. Well we have always gotten decently jazzed for it; they had violinists playing classical pieces, their pastries are exquisite, and the tea and snacks keep on flowing as long as you are there. However, this cruise took a slight turn in that they now only have a small selection for free and the other selection could be purchased for $1.99 per bag. To which me and J.J. gave a stiff "have you lost your mind" face to. But seriously! You want me to pay 2 US dollars for one packet of tea that I know I have in my stock at home? All they served for free was Bigelow Green Tea and Lipton. Now, y'all, we here at Steep Sisters try not to have one of those environments that shuns certain teas as inferior for this reason or that. That being said, Lipton is just awful! And Bigelow is a good brand, why just limit yourself to the green tea?? Anyway, thankfully our mother had been on a cruise without us before this one and warned us of the injustice. Needless to say, when the servers came around with their selections, we took a cursory glance, gave 'em a polite "No, thanks", and pulled out our purses lol. A man next to us looked at our spread with appreciative bug-eyes.
And that's the story of how we brought our own stash to a tea party. Oh and the snacks were banging like a drum *heart-eye emojis*
